Learn what happens after a FAFSA application is completed. Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) provides an overview of the financial aid process through spring of senior year, including the Student Aid Report (SAR), the verification process, the IRS data retrieval tool and why it is helpful, a breakdown of financial aid award letters using the interactive tool on the ISAC student portal, and how aid is disbursed.
